From the point of view of society and the environment, a smart choice for daily trips is a bicycle, walking or public transport. In addition to being environmentally friendly, sustainable mobility is also good for the student’s wallet.

Cyclists and pedestrians move smoothly in the city, because they are not dependent on parking spaces or traffic jams. By cycling and walking, you can conveniently increase your daily exercise and improve both physical health and mental well-being.

Koas shared car for longer trips

As a tenant of Koas, it is easy for you to use Koas’ shared cars. You can use the car for all your daily needs, such as shopping trips or visiting friends. The car is reserved and used via the Omago smartphone app. Read more here.

Services for smooth journeys

In Jyväskylä, trips can also be made easily by bus. With green Linkki buses, the student’s everyday trips are made cheap and smooth. Jyväskylä city shared cars are also available for rent for students. The cars are used by the employees of the Jyväskylä administration during office hours from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cars are available for private hire in the evenings and weekends.

Many students also use electric scooters, and in Jyväskylä there are several companies that rent e-scooters. When using a scooters, please pay close attention to traffic safety and smart parking!
