Rent payment
At Koas, the rent includes internet access, electricity, common sauna times and use of the laundry. For a majority of the housing locations, water is also included in the rent.
The rent is due on the 6th of every month. Always use your personal payment reference number and check that the amount payable is correct. The rent bill is sent by email and the payment details in that invoice are valid until further notice. Didn’t receive the bill in your email? Please contact vuokrat@koas.fi.
Don’t have a bank account in Finland? If you don’t have a bank account in Finland or you can’t use your own account, you can use TransferMate – Koas for rent payments. Please refer to the TransferMate website for the latest terms & conditions, exchange rates, and payment instructions.
Late rental payments
If you have any difficulties paying your rent, please contact vuokrat@koas.fi or call +35810 820 4429 to agree on a payment schedule before the due date of the rent. We are here to help you.
Late payments are handled by a company called Visma Amili Oy. If we don’t receive the payment on time, you’ll first receive an email from Visma Amili. Notification will be sent around 14 days after your rent was originally due. A notification charge of €5 will apply.
A history of late payment may lead to the annulment of your contract, debt collection and a bad credit history. Loss of creditworthiness will remain on your record for a long time, and it can make your life significantly more complicated in the future. You can prevent problems by paying your late payment notices by the due date.
We charge interest on the rent arrears at a fixed rate determined by Finnish law. Interest will start accruing from the day after the due date, regardless of any payment plans made. Interest fees will be invoiced separately.
Joint liability
Spouses share liability for the rent of their family apartment, as does anyone else living in Koas housing with a joint rental agreement. If one person moves out, the joint rental agreement needs to be terminated. Joint liability continues until termination of the rental agreement.
