Fuses
Fuses and, in the newest buildings, circuit breakers monitor the safety of operation of electrical equipment. Fuses react to overload switching off the current, whereas circuit breakers detect any leakage currents in the equipment and switch off the current, if necessary.
The fuse panel may contain two types of fuses: the traditional replaceable wire fuse and the newer automatic fuse type, which can be reset. Circuit breakers can also be reset.
If you need to replace a traditional wire fuse, remember to switch off the current with the main switch before starting the operation. If the fuse blows or the circuit breaker trips repeatedly, fill in a fault report.
