Are you looking for student housing in Jyväskylä? Koas Syke offers student homes from studios to three-room apartments right in the city center. The apartments are ready to move into at the beginning of April 2025.
We are now accepting applications for Syke apartments!

A diverse range of apartments and shared common spaces
Koas Syke offers a diverse selection of student apartments: 68 studios, 6 two-room apartments and 6 three-room apartments. The apartments have a dishwasher, space in the bathroom for a 40-centimeter washing machine and blinds on the windows. Learn more about the apartments and equipment on Syke’s webpage!
A shared use culture is taking place in the Koas Syke neighborhood. Syke residents can use the shared facilities found in neighboring properties: Meeting Room in Koas Hospa, laundry in Koas Harju, sauna and lounge facilities in Koas Hospa. In addition to electricity and internet, the Koas rent includes use of the laundry, general sauna time slots and use of the lounge and Meeting Room facilities.

Interested? Fill out the application today on the Koas website! If you have already submitted an application to Koas, update it by adding Koas Syke to your list of housing locations you wish to apply for. Housing offers are sent continuously, so keep an eye on your email!

Apartment viewing at open house events

- Jan 29th at 4-6 pm
- Feb 12th at 4-6 pm
A few model apartments are ready to be visited. Please follow the signs and instructions of the staff, as the area is still a construction site!
Address: Kauppakatu 13b, access from Kauppakatu from the passage next to Hospa building in Kauppakatu 11 or from Yliopistonkatu next to Yliopistonkatu 12.
NOTE: There are no parking spaces for cars! Please come by foot or by public transport. Parking in the yards next to Koas Syke is not allowed.
